SVAMA Partners with PRSA-SV for Enhanced Member Services

Silicon Valley Chapters of American Marketing Association (SVAMA) and Public Relations Society of America (PRSA-SV) Enter Strategic Alliance; Offer Members Enriched Educational Programs, Networking Opportunities and Event Discounts

Palo Alto, Calif. - July 05, 2006 - The Silicon Valley Chapters of the American Marketing Association (SVAMA) and the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA-SV) have entered into a strategic partnership to offer enhanced services to their combined audiences of approximately 1,100 professionals.

The mission of both the SVAMA (www.svama.org) and PRSA-SV (www.siliconprsa.org) is to deliver education and networking opportunities that advance the excellence of their respective professionals in the local business community. Through this partnership, the SVAMA's more than 600 members and 500 PRSA-SV associates will receive advance notification and special pricing for select events sponsored by both chapters.

"Marketing and public relations go hand in hand," said Robert Jacobs, SVAMA vice president of monthly programs. "This partnership allows us to offer our members public relations programs created by the organization with its finger on the pulse of PR."

Paula Dunne, PRSA-SV Programs co-chair and president-elect agrees. "PR professionals work hand-in-hand with marketing generalists to deliver seamless services to their companies and clients. Promoting SVAMA's educational and networking activities gives our members access to the best marketing resources in Silicon Valley," Dunne said.

Upcoming co-promoted events include an SVAMA panel discussion on branding on July 12, 2006 at TechMart, in Santa Clara, Calif.; a media training workshop in August; a blockbuster consumer products introduction panel in September and public relations workshops at the SVAMA's first annual conference, planned for 2007.
